Anthropic inks $200 million agreement to deliver its language models to Snowflake users
Anthropic Expands Enterprise Reach with Major Snowflake Partnership
Anthropic, a leading AI research organization, is intensifying its focus on the enterprise sector. The company has announced a significant, multi-year collaboration with cloud data provider Snowflake, valued at $200 million. This agreement will integrate Anthropic’s advanced language models into Snowflake’s platform, making these AI capabilities accessible to Snowflake’s extensive client network.
“Anthropic is now among a select few partners with whom we share a nine-figure commitment, deep product-level collaboration, and a history of successful joint execution for clients worldwide,” stated Sridhar Ramaswamy, Snowflake’s co-founder and CEO, in a recent blog post. “By combining Claude’s capabilities with Snowflake’s infrastructure, we are redefining how organizations can implement scalable, intelligent AI solutions directly on their most vital business data.”
This partnership also marks the launch of a joint market strategy aimed at delivering AI-powered agents to enterprise customers.
Snowflake’s enterprise AI offering, Snowflake Intelligence, will now be powered by Claude Sonnet 4.5. Clients will gain access to Claude models, including Claude Opus 4.5, enabling them to perform advanced multimodal data analysis and develop customized AI agents tailored to their needs.
Dario Amodei, Anthropic’s co-founder and CEO, commented, “Businesses have invested heavily in building secure and reliable data systems, and they now seek AI solutions that can operate within these environments without compromising security. By embedding Claude within Snowflake, we’re bringing powerful AI directly to where enterprise data resides. This is a significant move toward making cutting-edge AI truly practical for business applications.”
In recent months, Anthropic has secured numerous high-profile enterprise agreements, shifting its focus toward serving business clients rather than individual consumers—a strategy that contrasts with competitor OpenAI’s broader market approach.
For example, in October, Anthropic partnered with Deloitte to provide its Claude chatbot to the consulting firm’s workforce of over 500,000 employees. During the same period, Anthropic also joined forces with IBM to integrate its language models into IBM’s software suite.
Anthropic’s growing presence in the enterprise space is underscored by strong demand for its AI models. According to a July survey by Menlo Ventures, businesses favored Anthropic’s AI solutions over those offered by other providers.
