Historical trends show that Bitcoin has suffered losses exceeding 50% during previous downturns, casting doubt on Tether’s ability to withstand similar shocks. S&P has acknowledged that most of USDT’s reserves remain in liquid assets, but the agency has also called for greater clarity regarding the composition and management of these reserves.
