The first group of Battlefield finalists will present their pitches live before a panel of judges, including Allison Baum Gates (SemperVirens), Cathy Friedman (GV), Katelin Holloway (Seven Seven Six), Charles Hudson (Precursor), and Nicolas Sauvage (TDK Ventures).
The Self-Driving Reality Check: 11:15 a.m. – 11:45 a.m.
Waymo’s co-CEO Tekedra Mawakana will discuss the current state of autonomous vehicles, the journey to real-world deployment, and why trust is just as crucial as technology in this race.
Startup Battlefield Session Two: 1:30 p.m. – 2:45 p.m.
The second set of Battlefield participants will take the stage, where they’ll be evaluated by judges Eryk Dobrushkin (Index Ventures), Jen Hoskins (Nvidia), Thomas Krane (Insight Ventures), Jon McNeill (DVx), and Katie Stanton (Moxxie Ventures).
What Sequoia Sees Coming Next: 2:45 p.m. – 3:15 p.m.
Roelof Botha, one of today’s most influential venture capitalists, will share insights on how leading founders are navigating artificial intelligence, global politics, and evolving investment trends.
Moonshots, AI, and the Future of Alphabet: 3:15 p.m. – 3:45 p.m.
Astro Teller, who leads Alphabet’s innovation lab, will offer a unique perspective on the projects thriving at X, the effectiveness of the company’s “fail fast” philosophy, and his thoughts on artificial intelligence.
And that’s just the first day’s agenda. On Tuesday, you’ll hear from renowned investor Vinod Khosla on where technology is headed; Netflix CTO Elizabeth Stone will discuss the future of streaming; and Slate Auto CEO Chris Barman will showcase one of her electric trucks on stage.
