analyst Eric Balchunas points out that Bitcoin should not be compared to the tulip bubble. Unlike tulips, which existed for only 3 years before collapsing, Bitcoin has existed for 17 years and has been able to recover to historical highs after 6-7 major hits. Although Bitcoin, like gold and artworks, is a non-productive asset, it also holds value.
