OpenAI may release GPT-5.2 as early as next Tuesday.

Jinse Finance reported that OpenAI is planning to make its first response to Google Gemini 3 with the upcoming release of GPT-5.2. Originally scheduled for release at the end of December, GPT-5.2 is now expected to be launched ahead of schedule on December 9. On the 1st of this month, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman informed employees in an internal memo that he would initiate a "red alert" emergency status to improve ChatGPT.
