FPMarkets Chief Market Analyst Aaron Hill stated in a report that due to the recent government shutdown causing a lack of official data, the Federal Reserve's December policy meeting faces difficult challenges. There are divisions and caution within the Federal Reserve, and although some officials support rate cuts, a "meaningful hawkish repricing has already occurred." LSEG data shows that the probabilities of a rate cut and maintaining the current rate in the money market are roughly equal.
