Argentine judge freezes funds related to LIBRA token
Foresight News reported, citing Cryptopolitan, that Argentine judge Marcelo Giorgi has ordered the freezing of assets related to the Meme token LIBRA incident, and has imposed an indefinite asset freeze on the property and financial accounts of Hayden Davis and two crypto practitioners, Orlando Mellino and Favio Rodriguez. Federal prosecutor Eduardo Taino submitted the relevant application, supported by technical reports from the Financial Investigation and Illicit Asset Recovery Agency. The reports indicated abnormal transactions in the crypto wallets of the three individuals, with investor losses possibly reaching 100 millions to 120 millions USD. The court determined that the case met the conditions of "reasonable suspicion and potential risk," approved the freeze order, and requested that the National Securities Commission extend the measures to all related domestic platforms.
