🧭 Larry Fink on Crypto: Innovations in Digital Assets
BlackRock’s Larry Fink had a lot to say about crypto yesterday.
And the primary takeaway - we’re just getting started.
📌 What happened
On CNBC yesterday, Larry Fink praised how spot Bitcoin ETFs opened the door for mainstream investors.
Then he got specific on how tokenization is the future.
The world he envisions includes mutual funds, private credit, money markets, even real-world assets issued as tokens, settling near-instantly, with compliance baked into the token (who can hold it, where it can move, when it can trade).
He said BlackRock is building the tech to drop these products directly into digital wallets, cut settlement frictions, slash transfer/record-keeping costs, and give clients 24/7 portability.
He also stressed that Bitcoin still has a role, but sized responsibly.
🗣️ What They’re Saying
“We’re just at the beginning of the tokenization of all assets, from real estate to equity to bonds, across the board.” — Larry Fink, CEO of BlackRock, on CNBC
CEO of world’s largest asset manager…
“We're just at the beginning of the tokenization of all assets.”
Yes, includes ETFs.
Larry Fink on his positively evolving attitude towards crypto: “I grow & learn.”
Good lesson here.

🧠 Why it matters
ETFs are the on-ramp today; the bigger story is tokenizing pretty much everything tomorrow.
This is the playbook from the world’s biggest asset manager:
- Right now: ETFs keep steady demand flowing into BTC and make advisors comfortable recommending it.
- Next up: tokenization makes every kind of asset trading better - faster, cheaper, and wallet-friendly
- Net effect: better tech, more access, less friction.
Overall, this means more people gaining access to these investment products, which is a win. And they’ll be able to trade more efficiently via blockchain with lower fees - win win.
But it might not be a complete win.
Ethereum was largely expected to be the home of RWA tokenization.
If that happens on BlackRock’s own rails (and other banks / institutions follow suit), that does hurt one aspect of the Ethereum bull case.
But there also may be a world where bringing that amount of assets and asset types onchain is more net bullish overall than it is bearish to the Ethereum tokenization bull case.
Time will tell…

The last mile of blockchain, the first mile of Megaeth: Taking over global assets
1. The blockchain project Megaeth has recently reached a critical milestone with its public sale, marking the official start of the project. Its goal is to build the world's fastest public chain to solve the "last mile" problem of blockchain's management of global assets. 2. Industry observations indicate that the crypto punk spirit has been weakening year by year, and the industry's focus is shifting towards high-performance infrastructure. Against this backdrop, Megaeth is advancing the implementation of its project, emphasizing that the blockchain industry has moved past the early exploratory phase, and high performance has become key to supporting the next stage of application scenarios. 3. Industry insiders believe that all infrastructure has a "late-mover advantage," and blockchain also needs to go through a process of performance upgrades to drive scenario expansion. High performance is seen as the key to unlocking larger-scale applications. 4. With multiple chains exploring performance pathways, Megaeth positions itself as aiming to be the "fastest public chain," attempting to solve the challenge of "trillions of transactions on-chain." The team believes that addressing real-world problems is the most effective path, regardless of whether it is Layer1 or Layer2. 5. Megaeth's public sale is seen as the beginning of its "first mile" journey. Although it may face technical challenges, the potential brought by its differentiated underlying architecture is highly regarded and is expected to give rise to new industry paradigms.
