Fidelity’s FSOL and Canary’s XRPC, HBR added to NSCC roster

Three new spot cryptocurrency ETFs — Solana (FSOL), XRP (XRPC), and Hedera (HBR) — have been added to the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation’s (DTCC) National Securities Clearing Corporation (NSCC) list . The move marks a critical step toward potential market debut, though final approval remains with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

DTCC listing not a seal of approval

While DTCC handles clearing and settlement for U.S. securities, its inclusion does not equate to regulatory approval. The SEC must still greenlight the funds before trading can legally commence. For context, Canary Capital’s proposed Litecoin spot ETF has been on the DTCC list since February but remains unapproved.

PSA…

DTCC “listing” Fidelity sol ETF and Canary xrp & hbar ETFs doesn’t mean *anything* from regulatory standpoint.

Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas emphasized that DTCC listings are often precursors to launches,

Agree, nothing to see here. that said how many tickers are added that never launched probably almost none,”

Balchunas remarked on X.

SEC still reviewing applications

The SEC has repeatedly delayed decisions on altcoin ETFs in 2025. Canary’s XRP fund faces a decision window between October 18–23. The SEC postponed its decision regarding Nasdaq’s proposal to list the Grayscale Hedera Trust, setting a new deadline of November 12 for the review, and Fidelity’s Solana ETF is also awaiting an October ruling.

Despite delays, analysts expect approvals. Bloomberg’s Balchunas and James Seyffart estimate 95% odds for Solana and XRP ETFs, with Hedera at 90%.

Market response and investor outlook

Following the DTCC update on September 11, tokens reacted positively: Solana surged over 7% in 24 hours, Hedera climbed 3.63%, and XRP rose 1.88%.

ETF Store president Nate Geraci believes investor appetite is being overlooked.

You heard it here first. People are severely underestimating investor demand for spot xrp & sol ETFs. Just like they did w/ spot btc & eth ETFs.,”

he noted earlier this month.
