Story to launch confidential IP database "IP Vault," plans to go live on developer network this year
Foresight News reported that Story has announced the launch of IP Vault, which is planned to go live on the Dev Network later this year, with the testnet and mainnet scheduled for release in 2026.
Story stated that IP Vault is a secure on-chain storage space attached to IP assets, used to store confidential IP data on Story. These IP Vaults are protected by the network and can only be accessed by IP owners and their licensees. The Vault itself does not store the original files, but rather the encrypted keys used to unlock these files, regardless of where the files are hosted (such as IPFS, Shelby). After registering their IP, IP owners can attach confidential information to the IP Vault at any time.
