Australia's ASIC has taken down approximately 3,015 cryptocurrency scam websites in two years
According to a report by Decrypt, covered by Jinse Finance, the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) has disclosed that over the past two years, it has taken down more than 14,000 scam and phishing websites, with approximately 20%—about 3,015—being cryptocurrency scam sites. ASIC stated that it will broaden its crackdown, expanding from website takedowns to include social media advertisements, in order to help protect Australian consumers from fraud.
