According to ChainCatcher, Scam Sniffer monitoring revealed that one hour ago, a victim lost 140 ETH, worth $636,559, after copying the wrong address from a contaminated transaction history.

In an address poisoning attack, attackers send small transactions (often zero-value or tiny “dust” transfers) to the target wallet, causing the fake wallet address to appear in the target’s transaction history. The forged address closely resembles the user’s usual address, tricking users into mistakenly copying and pasting the attacker’s address and sending funds to it.
