Standard Chartered: Ethereum Treasury Firms Offer Greater Investment Value Than US Spot ETH ETFs
According to a report by Jinse Finance, Geoffrey Kendrick, Head of Digital Asset Research at Standard Chartered Bank, stated that since June, Ethereum treasury companies have acquired approximately 1.6% of the circulating ETH supply. The pace of these purchases matches that of spot ETH ETFs, and the market value to net asset value ratio (NAV multiple) has returned to normal levels, remaining above 1, which indicates “significant investment value.” He pointed out that these companies, due to their ability to participate in staking and DeFi activities, offer greater investment appeal than US spot ETH ETFs. SharpLink Gaming (SBET) is one of the representatives in this sector. Kendrick predicts that Ethereum treasury companies may eventually hold 10% of the circulating ETH supply, with their growth rate outpacing that of Bitcoin treasury companies, reflecting the broad institutional acceptance of ETH as a corporate reserve asset.
