U.S. Treasury Secretary Yellen expects Fed chair nomination to be announced by year-end
According to a report by Jinse Finance, U.S. Treasury Secretary Bessent stated that a list of candidates for the Federal Reserve Chair is being compiled, and two seats on the Federal Reserve Board will become vacant. Bessent will conduct interviews for positions at the Federal Reserve, and the nomination for the Fed Chair is expected to be announced before the end of the year.
