Base launches Flashblocks to boost network infrastructure speed by 10x
According to Jinse Finance, Flashblocks has been launched on the Base network, increasing the network’s fundamental speed by 10 times. Reportedly, Flashblocks has reduced the effective block time from 2 seconds to 200 milliseconds, making Base the fastest EVM chain currently available. This upgrade may be laying the groundwork for the launch of the Base App. Previously, an exchange announced the release of an “everything app”—the “Base App”—to replace its Wallet. The new application integrates wallet, trading, and payment functions, while also incorporating social media, instant messaging, and mini-program support, all running on its independently developed Ethereum Layer 2 network, Base.
