SlowMist Alert: Beware of the Risk of Private Key Theft from Unverified Script Tools
According to ChainCatcher, citing a post shared by SlowMist Chief Information Security Officer 23pds and originally exposed by X platform user @Miles082510, developer @web3_cryptoguy disguised himself as a Web3 "tool author" to distribute malicious script tools. These tools scan users' local sensitive files in the background, stealing private keys, wallet files, mnemonic phrases, and other critical data, then uploading them to anonymous servers. The entire process is difficult to detect.
SlowMist reminds users to avoid using script tools from unknown sources to prevent asset loss.
