Band Protocol Unveils V3, A New Era of Multichain and Lightning-fast Data for Web3
Band Protocol is excited to officially announce the launch of Band v3 on its mainnet. This development marks a revolutionary leap in the feed technology of decentralized data. Through this upgrade, a whole design for Band’s infrastructure is presented. This groundbreaking move aims to empower smart contracts and AI agents by providing real-time and secure data to them. In this way, the platform strives to connect Web2 APIs with Web3 applications, scaling them at unprecedented speed.
Band Protocol’s mainnet launch is set to define new standards for Scale, speed, and multichain reach. The platform further invites builders to navigate reliable data infrastructure. Band Protocol, an oracle network for decentralized cross-chain data, has witnessed the development via its official X account.
Band Protocol v3 to Power Up Web3 and Beyond by Unleashing Multichain Smart Data
The target of Band’s v3bis Multichain operability, improving performance metrics. The time span for blocks has been slashed to one from approximately six seconds. Through this, block experiences tripled throughput along with enhanced tenfolds. The introduction of three key architectural components have made this advancement possible.
The three keys include the Signaling Hub for decentralized symbol governance, the Concurrent Price Stream for asset price with high frequency, and the Data Tunnel. The represented keys aim to offer the relays for cross-chain and secure feed. The mission-critical data, like price updates and validator reports is protected by custom mempool.
Band Protocol Supported by Top Validators, Beginning a New Era of Oracle Infrastructure
The top-tier validators back the new mainnet, including Binance Validator, HashKey Cloud, Nansen, and Cosmo Station. An additional 40 validators are ready to join the mainnet. The cross-chain data relay is further secured by Band Protocol’s v3, leveraging the router protocol. The v3 of Band Protocol is infused into IBC and IBC-Hook-enabled chains.
This initiative is only a beginning to bring more developers, protocols, and validators to the protocol. This advancement is poised to define the future of decentralized and open data.
Band Protocol introduces these innovations to cement its reputation in the Web3 data infrastructure. The protocol is set to empower the next generation of decentralized applications by providing security, unprecedented speed, and accessibility.
