AEON Partners with Bitget Wallet to Launch Native Web3 Mobile Payment Feature with Support for National QR Systems
Cryptocurrency payment framework AEON has entered into a strategic partnership with Web3 wallet Bitget Wallet. AEON provides Bitget Wallet with native Web3 mobile payment capabilities, making Bitget Wallet the first self-custodial wallet to natively support Vietnam’s national QR payment system (VietQR).
This integration enables users to make payments directly with cryptocurrencies by scanning QR codes within the wallet. The feature already covers over 20 million local merchants in Southeast Asia, as well as global brand stores such as McDonald’s, Starbucks, and Uniqlo. In the future, the two parties plan to further expand to local payment channels such as QR Ph in the Philippines and bank transfers in Nigeria.
