According to a report by Jinse Finance, several informed sources have stated that the U.S. Department of Commerce has requested the so-called electronic design automation groups, including Cadence, Synopsys, and Siemens EDA, to stop supplying technology to China. According to insiders, the Bureau of Industry and Security, the agency responsible for overseeing export controls within the U.S. Department of Commerce, has issued this directive to these companies via letter. It is currently unclear whether every U.S. EDA company has received the letter. This move marks a significant new initiative by the U.S. government to curb China's ability to develop cutting-edge artificial intelligence chips. (Jin10)
