Survey: Bank of Korea to Cut Interest Rates Next Week
According to a report by Jinse Finance, there is a widespread expectation that the Bank of Korea will lower its policy rate next week. All 12 economists surveyed by The Wall Street Journal predict that the Bank of Korea will cut the interest rate by 0.25 percentage points to 2.50% at next Thursday's meeting. This anticipated rate cut will end the current policy easing cycle's standstill, and the Bank of Korea is expected to adjust its 2025 GDP growth forecast at the meeting.
