4chan Resumes Operations After Being Hacked
According to Cointelegraph, the controversial website 4chan has resumed operations after being hacked on April 14. The forum's /Biz/ board has been an important gathering place for the cryptocurrency community and has had a significant impact on the market.
4chan's most notable influence in the crypto space includes driving the massive surge of Chainlink (LINK), which rose from $1.80 at the beginning of 2020 to an all-time high of $49.54 in 2021. Additionally, after the Pepe the Frog meme became popular on the platform, the market cap of the related token PEPE soared from $591 million at the beginning of 2024 to $11 billion.
