Proposal to Reduce Aptos Staking Annual Yield by Nearly 50% to Improve Capital Efficiency
Odaily reported that on April 18, Aptos community member MoonSheisty submitted a proposal suggesting a gradual reduction of the APT token staking annual yield from 7% to 3.79%. The goal is to improve capital efficiency within three months and align with other L1 blockchains. The proposal has drawn attention from the community, with some members concerned that this move could weaken the participation of smaller validators, affecting the level of decentralization.
