The Nikkei 225 index closed down 989.94 points on April 3rd (Thursday), a decrease of 2.77%, at 34735.93 points; the South Korean KOSPI index closed down 19.19 points on April 3rd (Thursday), a decrease of 0.77%, at 2486.67 points.
