Ethereum Beam Chain will be renamed due to trademark issues
Golden Finance reports that Ethereum core developer Justin Drake has revealed significant progress in the first community meeting of Beam Chain, but due to trademark issues, the project name needs to be changed. The meeting showed that there are currently 14 consensus layer teams participating, covering all continents except Antarctica, with development languages including Zig, C, C++, C#, etc. This meeting introduced 8 new teams joining, support from 6 mainnet consensus layer teams and two newly joined Ethereum Foundation coordinators. Drake stated that this project is a multi-year plan aimed at thoroughly upgrading Ethereum's L1 infrastructure. The second community meeting will be held on February 28th UTC 14:00 to discuss key technological advancements such as post-quantum signatures.
