Federal Reserve's Daly: The decision to cut interest rates this week was very difficult
On December 20, San Francisco Federal Reserve Chair Daly said on Friday that the Fed's decision to cut interest rates by 25 basis points again this week was a "difficult decision". She agreed with Fed Chairman Powell's view that caution needs to be maintained in future policy adjustments. "For me, the most important thing is that we need to readjust our policies. I think making this decision was very difficult. Now I feel we have passed the recalibration phase and entered into the next stage where we will really focus on the information received."
