Opinion: Trump's re-election may boost a surge in cryptocurrency mergers and acquisitions
After Trump is re-elected as president, he plans to replace the chairman of the SEC, which is expected to bring a more friendly regulatory environment for the cryptocurrency industry. Several MA consultants and venture capitalists predict that new SEC leadership will accelerate crypto MA transactions by 2025. Casper Johansen from The Spartan Group and Haseeb Qureshi from Dragonfly Capital both stated that under Trump's administration, CEOs may expand through acquisitions. Many crypto companies including FalconX and Tether already have merger plans, but high valuations are still an obstacle to mergers and acquisitions.
