Trump refuses Harris' invitation for another TV debate
On September 21, Kamala Harris, the Vice President of the United States and Democratic presidential candidate, "invited" former U.S. President and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump to another television debate via social media. Trump declined, stating that the timing of this debate was "too late". On social media platform X, Harris challenged Trump: "I would be happy to participate in the second presidential debate on October 23rd. I hope Trump will join me." During a campaign rally in Wilmington, North Carolina on September 21st, Trump declined the "invitation", responding: "The problem with holding another debate is that it's already too late; voting has begun."
