Bhutan Holds Around $780 Million in Cryptocurrencies, Accounting for More Than 26.9% of Its $2.9 Billion GDP in 2023
The total cryptocurrency holdings of Druk Holding and Investments, Bhutan's national investment arm, amount to approximately $780 million, including 13,029 BTC, 656 ETH, and others, Cointelegraph reported. According to the World Bank, this means that Bhutan's cryptocurrency reserves represent more than 26.9 percent of its $2.9 billion gross domestic product (GDP) in 2023.
