Opinion: The poor performance of ETH is related to the current structure of the cryptocurrency market
Odaily reports that Coinbase's Global Research Director, David Duong, stated in a report: "The network activity and supply inflation of ETH are important factors for its poor performance, but we also believe that the price trend is driven by the current market structure."
Duong pointed out that many cryptocurrency investors are focusing on altcoins and other positions that are increasingly difficult to exit. This could trap funds that would otherwise flow into networks like Ethereum within a broader crypto ecosystem. "In order for Ethereum to catch up, we think it needs a new catalyst to help reignite developers' and investors' enthusiasm," he added.
Duong said that Ethereum's lack of new narratives and limited capital supply have increased its scrutiny relative to other chains. (The Block)
