Autoverse Studios raises $8 million to develop Web3 racing game Auto Legends
August 14th news, according to Venturebeat, Web3 game development studio Autoverse Studios announced the completion of an $8 million financing round, led by White Star Capital, with participation from Sfermion, RockawayX, Ocular, Sidedoor Ventures, MCE Group, Saison Capital, LiquidX, as well as well-known figures in the automotive industry such as Horacio Pagani, Miller Motorcars, and senior figures in the gaming industry such as Niccolo De Masi, former CEO of Glu Mobile, and Alex Thabet, founder and former CEO of Ludia Games. The new funds will be used to develop its social racing Web3 game Auto Legends, which aims to build a game that brings Web3 ownership and transaction mechanisms to traditional players and attracts more Web2 users.According to the introduction, Autoverse Studios is an innovative PC and mobile game developer and publisher. Autoverse was founded in 2022 and is headquartered near Los Angeles, California. Auto Legends will be a free game that supports PC, Mac, iOS, and Android platforms. However, if players want to get more depth, they can choose to use Web3 functionality. This game has now been launched on PC and Mac in the closed alpha testing environment of the Epic Games Store.
