The Japanese and South Korean stock markets rebounded sharply, with the Nikkei 225 index surging 8% at the start of trading
After a sharp drop on Monday, the Nikkei 225 index opened up 2% on Tuesday, the TOPIX index rose 2%, and the South Korean KOSPI index opened up 3.7%. The Nikkei 225 surged by as much as 8% at the start of trading to reach 34,000 points, recovering more than half of yesterday's losses.
