Three major U.S. indexes ended mixed, with most of the big tech stocks falling
The three major U.S. stock indices closed mixed, with the Dow up 0.2%, the S&P 500 down 0.51%, and the Nasdaq down 0.93%. Most of the large technology stocks fell, Google fell more than 3%, Microsoft fell more than 2%, Meta, Nvidia fell more than 1%, Nifty, Amazon fell slightly; Tesla rose about 2%. Ford Motor fell more than 18 per cent, its biggest one-day drop since 2008. Occupational health provider Concentra Group's U.S. IPO opened broken on its first day, down more than 4%.
