Solana integrates Worldcoin ID into its ecosystem
Worldcoin's World ID will integrate into Solana's ecosystem following the grant of approximately $70,000 to Wormhole Labs from the Worldcoin Foundation.
World ID is a central part of the Worldcoin project. By scanning a person's eye with the Worldcoin Orb, an IrisCode is generated which creates a World ID. This process aims to check “identity” and ensure that the user is not a robot.
Once verified, users can use the World app, which allows them to share information while keeping their personal data private through their identification system. The World App also functions as a crypto wallet, allowing users to store Bitcoin , Ethereum and USDC .
To revive the project's momentum, the Worldcoin Foundation launched a grant program, awarding over $830,000 in WLD tokens to support various projects.
