Tether CEO: Bitcoin is the only decentralized currency
Golden Finance reported that Paolo Ardoino, CEO of Tether, said that Bitcoin is unique among more than 14,000 cryptocurrencies because it is the only non-centralized currency. "Bitcoin is the only currency that is ruled by mathematics alone and is basically unchangeable. In addition to Bitcoin, some cryptocurrencies are more centralized and others are less centralized. For other currencies, you see a group of developers every month. They will release new software versions, change monetary policy, inflation, deflation, and they keep making changes. Ardoino admitted that his views on Bitcoin's unique degree of decentralization "may be controversial." He publicly stated that Tether is centralized, unlike Bitcoin.
