Lido discloses security incident regarding Ethereum node operator Numic, which did not affect user funds

Golden Finance reported that Lido Finance stated on the X platform that on May 14, Lido DAO contributors learned of a security vulnerability that affected active node operators using Lido on the Ethereum protocol (Numic). The security breach occurred a few days ago and affected a developer machine that had access to a backup of mainnet validator encryption key material. It is unclear whether the encryption key material was accessed, copied or otherwise manipulated, whether decryption material for the data was discovered, or whether the encryption was compromised.
