Institutional Investor Interest in Bitcoin ETFs Increases
Institutional investors have disclosed holdings in bitcoin ETFs in SEC 13F reports, revealing their interest in the crypto-asset. To date, BNY Mellon and BNP Paribas are the first two institutions to disclose holdings in bitcoin ETFs, with relatively small holdings, but sparking market interest. Other institutions such as Pittsburgh-based Quattro Advisors and Legacy Wealth Management have also displayed larger positions, with Quattro Advisors holding more than 468,000 shares of the BlackRock ETF. Additionally, analysts note that there are more larger institutions that may file reports before the deadline, and investor interest in bitcoin ETFs is expected to continue to grow.
