Ripple CTO Backs XRP Ledger Foundation Governance Reform Proposal
Ripple's Chief Technology Officer, David Schwartz, has voiced his support for proposed governance reforms within the XRP Ledger Foundation (XRPLF). The move comes in response to a comprehensive proposal by XRP Ledger developer David Fuelling to improve the transparency and decentralisation of the XRPL governance system. In a social media post about X, Schwartz praised Fuelling's initiative: "Thanks for taking a public stand, @sappenin. david shared his proposal with me beforehand as well, and like him and the XRPLF, the Foundation is receptive to it." He further stressed that any community member can submit ideas and suggestions without "permission," and Schwartz described the proposal as a "straw man" to stimulate open dialogue and gather different suggestions. He added: "There's no pressure to adopt it in its entirety; rather, it's a starting point and an opportunity for collaborative refinement and exploration."
