EOS founder BM releases new blockchain database code, with an insertion rate of 650,000 per second
EOS founder Daniel Larimer (BM) posted a discussion about the new blockchain database code, stating that it has increased from 250,000 inserts per second to 650,000 inserts per second. This is an inconspicuous failure of the CPU hardware prefetch predictor and discussed methods for fixing it. In addition, when replying to users on platform X, he stated that the code he is writing could benefit EOS by replacing the currently used chainbase. This would allow EOS to expand beyond RAM and promote cheaper API nodes. This is a general key/value database optimized for blockchain applications.
