The U.S. SEC postpones decision on Fidelity's Ethereum spot ETF application
According to The Block, a document submitted on Thursday shows that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has postponed the final deadline for making a decision on Fidelity's Ethereum spot, with the new deadline set for March 5th. The SEC stated: "The commission believes it is necessary to designate a longer time to take action on the proposed rule change in order to have sufficient time to consider the proposed rule change and issues raised therein." Bloomberg analyst James Seyffart commented: "This move is completely as expected, in my view, the really important date is late May." Earlier news reported that Fidelity applied for an Ethereum spot ETF last November.
