Fantom has reduced the validator staking requirement from 500,000 FTM to 50,000 FTM
The Fantom Foundation stated in a post that Fantom has recently reduced the self-staking requirement for validators from 500,000 FTM to 50,000 FTM based on governance voting. The foundation also mentioned that the lower staking requirement does not pose any security risks as the power of validators to confirm transactions is proportional to their staked amount, rather than the number of validators operated by an individual.
