According to Cointelegraph, U.S. Senators J.D. Vance and Thom Tillis have requested that the SEC Chairman submit a report to Congress about the hacking incident of X account, with a deadline of January 15th, next Monday.
In previous reports, X's official security account Safety released preliminary investigations about @SECGov's account being hijacked: According to the investigation, this vulnerability was not due to X's system being compromised but because an unidentified individual gained control over the phone number associated with @SECGov through a third party.
