Pledged ETH exceeded exchange balance yesterday, with more than 19% of supply locked up
According to Nansen, 23.36 million ETH worth nearly $44 billion were pledged as of June 26, 2023, representing 19.4 percent of the current supply. By comparison, centralized exchanges held less than 23.35 million Ether yesterday. Notably, Beacon Chain's data shows that only 20.3 million ETH are currently pledged, a discrepancy with Nansen's data.
ETH holdings on centralized exchanges have been declining over the past few months. Since the Shapella upgrade in mid-April, ETH holdings on centralized exchanges have dropped by 5 million.
