U.S. House Financial Services Committee to vote on cryptocurrency bill in coming weeks
U.S. House Financial Services Committee Chairman Patrick McHenry said at a hearing on Tuesday that he intends to hold a committee vote in the coming weeks on a comprehensive bill to establish a regulatory framework for cryptocurrency products, according to Reuters. He said he expects to submit a bill for the committee's consideration when lawmakers resume session on July 11.
The news comes after Patrick McHenry and others introduced a discussion draft of legislation aimed at providing a statutory regulatory framework to provide clarity on the regulation of digital assets.
