Bitget Launches Multi-Chain EVM-Compatible Addressing Capabilities

2023/06/02 03:47

Bitget announced it has become the first centralized exchange to support EVM-compatible addresses, designed to enhance the user experience and simplify the process when topping up and withdrawing assets. Users can now use one EVM-compatible address for multiple blockchains on the Bitget platform.

The EVM-compatible address feature comes after Bitget recently announced the launch of secret-free withdrawals. These two new features are designed to provide Bitget users with fast and unrestricted cross-chain transactions. Using the Layer2 environment of the Ethernet network, Bitget connects blockchains such as Ether, Polygon, BSC, Arbitrum One, and Optimism into a single domain for users to use.

Regarding the EVM-compatible address feature, Gracy Chen, Managing Director of Bitget, said, "The blockchain space is very crowded and exploration of its technical aspects can be a serious obstacle for novices. Our goal is to significantly reduce the time and effort required for users to perform basic operations. By enabling password-free withdrawals and EVM address capabilities, Bitget greatly simplifies the user's transaction experience. "

Making profiles and repeating operations across different platforms on different blockchains is both time consuming and expensive, as cross-chain transactions incur fees. With EVM-compatible addresses on Bitget, users will be able to transfer assets directly at no additional cost.
