The Fed's balance sheet has shrunk for two consecutive weeks, with a total reduction of nearly $100B

According to the latest data on the Fed's website, as of April 4, the size of the Fed's balance sheet stood at $8.632 trillion, down about $74 billion from $8.706 trillion on March 28. Counting the previous week (March 21-March 28) shrinkage of $ 24 billion, the Fed has been shrinking for two consecutive weeks since the Silicon Valley Bank incident, a total reduction of about $ 98 billion.
